By visiting this site, you are encouraging my addiction: writing. I am in love with the challenge of clear and interesting communication, the opportunity to validate the experiences and feelings of others, the art of creating something of beauty and value with words, and even the scary feeling that comes from being extremely honest.
This site is the platform for all of my writing, which is beginning to cover a broad spectrum. You’ll find posts about how I transitioned from religious insider who championed the institutional church to religious renegade who scrutinizes the way the faith is expressed, but still loves Jesus. Also, I write about national issues and cultural trends, as well as other things on my mind.
I was a part of a group of bloggers who wrote on various topics from month to month for several years. It’s called a synchroblog. Also, I am on my third year of being a regular columnist for the Kenosha (Wisconsin) News. Those writings are shared here, as well.
Lastly, I have published two books about my spiritual journey, An Irreligious Faith and Free Range Faith. Some other books are currently in various stages of development, including compilations, and even fiction.
Your involvement makes my love of writing so much more loveable. Whenever you share a comment or repost on social media, or buy a book, it helps me remember why I do this. Please feel free to interact through comments or email. I would love to hear from you.
P.S. My wife says I look kind of crazy in the picture.
